Montgomery
Motorsports Park promoter Jim Howard announced
today that the
Speed Channel would be at Montgomery
Motorsports Park April 25-26 to shoot eight
episodes of a new program called "Pass Time."
Howard
says "these will be special shows with
all kinds of Hot
Rods including Top Fuel! We
will be looking for 80 Hot
Rods of all makes,
models and types,"
he added.
Rich
Christensen, the creator and host of the hot
racing series "Pinks" will be coming to produce
the shows and also talk with the drivers chosen
to participate in the eight shows. Stars from
other Speed Channel programs such as "Monster
Garage" will also be in town for the shoot.
Details
on how local racers can apply to appear on the
"Pass Time" episodes and information on
spectator tickets will be released soon through
Jim Howard Racing and Montgomery Motorsports
Park. Jim Howard says he is delighted that a
national TV program will be shooting at
Montgomery Motorsports Park, especially because
at least one Top Fuel dragster will be coming.
These supercharged race cars reach speeds of 100
miles per hour in one second after launch and
can blast down a quarter mile track in less than
five seconds at over 330 miles per hour.
